In this episode we are talking about weights you can use at your workbench to aid your modelling. We all know how annoying it is when a craftsman kit starts to curl as soon as you paint it. We also know you could just use a house brick but are their other options?

In this episode Jordan trys to describe a special foam brush called a Souncer Brush, during the recording we struggled to pronounce the name and we even managed to spell this wrong at the end of the episode.
Jordan uses this brush to stipple adhesive on to his scenery base before applying static grass and other scenery materials. Jordan has found this brush to help him use less adhesive material and create a even coat. Its even re-useable if you use the right type of glue.
Jordan first found these at Michaels a Craft Store but after we finished recording we found them online in bulk. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pouncer-Assortment-Sponge-Stippler-Brush-Pack-6/dp/B0B73ZNK8W

Jordan has been eyeing up the children popper fidget toys at the grocery store and he’s found a really good way to use them at your model railroad workbench. They are made from silicon and it takes a really long time for paint to dry in them.
When you have finished painting its really easy to clean them as you can push the silicon in side out and wipe them clean. We don’t suggest you take one from your child or grand child but next time you are in the dollar store pick one up its a great workbench addition.

In this episode Gordy shares how he uses a ceramic tile to save getting glue all over his work bench. You may well have a spare tile left over from a home improvement project and if not you can pick a tile sample form a local hardware store.
Gordy uses a tile to hold glue and paint before transfering to the model. It saves you from having open adhesives or paints on your workbench and helps you to control the amount of product you apply to your model. When you are done let the product dry on the tile and just scrape it off and use it again.
Finally they make a great weight and thats never a bad thing to have on your workbench.
